The merit list of candidates for admission to Medical and Dental courses will be determined only on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in PCB subjects, taken together, in the Common Entrance Test.

A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through the KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous years will not be eligible to appear for the Common Entrance Test-2009 for selection of a seat in the same discipline. Such candidate will immediately forfeit the seat selected by him during the previous years, upon selection of a seat in a different discipline during the year.
For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga / Engineering / Technology courses, the merit list will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the respective optional subjects, in both qualifying examination and the Common Entrance Test taken in equal proportions. For Architecture course, the Merit list will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in both qualifying examination and NATA taken in equal proportions

(a) For Medical / Dental Courses:

The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% in aggregate in PCB group both in qualifying examination and Common Entrance Test.

(b) For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga Courses:

The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB group irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% in aggregate in PCB group in the qualifying examination. For admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the candidate should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st of December 2009.

(c) For Engineering / Technology Courses:

The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

(d) For Architecture Courses:

For Architecture course, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2 PUC / 12 Std. or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination (45% of marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B)] and should compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and get a minimum of 40% in it. (Including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.

Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, an autonomous organization under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment implements several welfare schemes/projects relating to the development of SCs/STs and other deprived sections of the society.'Dr. Ambedkar National Merit Scholarships' are one time grant and are meant for SC and ST students of the particular State whose family income from all sources does not exceed Rs.1.00 lakh. About the Scheme

Applications are invited for Hindi Scholarships from the students of West Bengal who passed in 2007 & 2008 the madhyamik, the Higher Secondary or the Degree Examination or their equivalent examination of the other recognized examining bodies including Voluntary Hindi Organizations and got themselves admitted in the same year in the next higher course with Hindi as one of its subjects. cabdidates of B.Ed/B.T. course, where both the contents and methods of teaching Hindi are studied, will be eligible to apply for the Scholarship. Ph.D or M.Phil or M.Litt candidates of Hindi Language or Literature are also eligible to apply, if they have registered in such studies in 2007 or 2008.

Eligibilty

1) The student should belong to the non hindi speaking state and be ordinarilly residing in West Bengal

2) His/Her mother-tongue should not be Hindi

3) Candidates who belong to non-Hindi speaking states but have been residing for any purpose in a Hindi speaking state will not be eligible for the scholarship

4) Candidates who are preparing for two courses simultaneously will not be eligible, unless Hindi is one of the subjects of study in both those course

5) Only those candidates will be eligible, who have passed the qualifying examination in them first attempt

6) Candidate who wish to pursue their studies through correspondence course or who are preparing for an examination privately will not be eligible.

7) Candidates of voluntary Hindi organizations must submit the applications through parent body

8) Candidates should secure at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination

9) Candidates in employment whether full or part time or whether in a private organisation or a government organisation will not be eligible unless they are sponsered by the concerned state government/union territory administration and provided they execute a bond with such state government . union territory administration if so required by them

10) This scholarship is combinable with other scholarships as incentive to study Hindi

11) Students who are already in receipt of Hindi Scholarship for a particular course ie H.S?Degree/Post Degree stages need not apply afresh. Their cases are renewable till the completion of the said course of studies on submission of the A.P.R Forms, duly completed by the concerned Head of the Institution. However, for the next higher course of study the students have to apply afresh along with the new candidates

Selection

As the number of seats is limited, selection to the Program will be through a selection test, "Young Achievers Test" covering general knowledge and English language proficiency.
You have to register for the selection test by submitting the completed Application Form (given in the Application Material). You will be given a kit with all the materials to prepare for the test, including a copy of the Malayala Manorama Knowledge Adventure CD-ROM, one of the most comprehensive compilation of GK, facts and information in India, which will also be useful to you for other competitive examinations and interviews.
The top six performers in the test, from each of the eligible colleges, will be selected for the Young Achievers Program.

Eligibility

Students from selected undergraduate colleges from all over India, who are in the final year of their undergraduate degree course are eligible for the Young Achievers Program. Participation will be restricted to a maximum of six students from each college.

Registration Fee

The entire Program is offered completely free.
IBS will provide free lodging and boarding to all the participants at the IBS, Hyderabad campus for the duration of the program. The workshops and seminars are free. The sightseeing trip is also free.
Selected candidates will also be reimbursed to-and-fro 3rd AC train fare from their hometowns to Hyderabad, when they report for the Program.
However, the selected participants will be required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 750.
